Church Leadership and Staff
Reverend Dr. Curt Miner was born in Connecticut and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Northern Arizona University where he received a B.S. in Speech/Theatre Education. He met Linda in college and they continue a lifelong journey of love for singing and the theatre. Both have performed in local productions of "Fiddler on the Roof" and "Nunsense." Rev. Curt attended seminary at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, graduating with a Masters in Divinity. His first call in ministry was as Associate Pastor at Church of the Foothills in Ventura, California. During this time in Ventura, Rev. Curt completed work on his doctorate at Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, California. He served churches in Rialto and Bloomington, California before moving to Clarion, Iowa. Rev. Curt and Linda have two grown children, a son, Charlie and daughter, Jennifer. Linda brings a professional background in banking to the community.
Margaret Montgomery, Choir Director: Margaret Montgomery attended Oberlin Music Conservatory as a voice performance major from 1968-1970. She currently studies with voice coach, Lillian Warneke. Margaret has sung with the Cuesta Master Chorale, UCLA All Campus Choir, The Ambassadors of Song, The Vesper Singers, the Ambassadors of Love, and numerous church choirs over the years. She has been a featured soloist with the Oak Park Repertory Opera, the San Luis Early Music Consort, the Klezmorim Band of San Luis Obispo, and most recently with the New World Baroque Orchestra. She has taught voice privately and through the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation. Margaret has been our choir director since 1999. She is married to Wayne Montgomery and has three beautiful (and musical) daughters and is a proud grandmother to Mikenna Martin and Mikiah Teran.
Candice Hubbard, Youth Coordinator: Candice Hubbard, comes to the United Church of Christ (Congregational) from Chico, California. She is currently a graduate student working on a Masters of Education with a specialization in Special Education. As Youth Coordinator, Candice is in charge of Youth projects, activities and religious education. Candice has a wealth of experience in working with youth. She worked for the Boy’s & Girl’s Club in Chico for several years as its Education Coordinator, developing programs that were shared nationwide. In her tenure, the club became the fastest growing club in the nation. Candice also has experience as a camper and counselor at Pilgrim Pines, a Christian summer camp in Southern California. Candice met her husband, Eddie, at Pilgrim Pines and they reside in Morro Bay.
John Domingo, Office Management: Born and raised here on the Central Coast, John had previously worked at several radio stations, television productions, and a major theme park in the Los Angeles area. John spends his spare time relaxing with his spouse Norma, their two dogs, and their cat.
